Our valued staff
Heidi
Heidi is currently studying for her A-Levels and works with us in our Mansfield branch on Saturdays. While continuing her education, she is also developing valuable skills and gaining experience in a professional and caring environment. Her enthusiasm and willingness to learn make her a great addition to the team.
Lori
Originally from Chicago, Lori joined the Ollerton team in 2018. Known for her exceptional customer service and vibrant accent, she’s always attentive and eager to assist, ensuring clients feel valued and well cared for.
Emma
Since joining Pinders in 2021, Emma has worked between our Ollerton and Mansfield branches. One day she may be greeting you at Ollerton, and the next she could be answering calls in our Mansfield branch. Her adaptability and dedication make her a key asset to the team.
Louise
Louise joined the Southwell team in 2022 and is known for her welcoming smile and genuine desire to help. You’ll often find her at the reception desk, assisting with bookings or offering advice. Louise’s cheerful attitude ensures every client feels well cared for.
Jill
With extensive experience, Jill has been with our Southwell branch since 2015. Having worked with Pinders since 1998 at our former Mansfield location on Rufford Avenue, Jill’s dedication to excellent client care make her a trusted team member.
Mel
Mel joined the Mansfield team in 2022. She’s often the first person to greet you at your appointment, and her beautiful flower arrangements add a special touch to the branch. Plus, she makes an exceptional cup of coffee, ensuring every visit is comfortable and enjoyable.
Kate
Since joining the team in 2021, Kate has become an integral part of the Mansfield branch. Whether answering the phone, greeting you at reception, or supporting our Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians, Kate’s versatility and hands-on approach ensure great service every time.
Jackie
Part of the Mansfield team since 1992, Jackie is known for her kindness and care for our clients. Now working part time, you might find her assisting clients into taxis or offering a helping hand where needed. Jackie’s friendly presence and long-standing relationships with clients have made her a trusted face at Pinders.
Allyson
Allyson first joined Pinders in 1985 and returned in 1994 after taking time off to raise her family. Though often behind the scenes in our Mansfield branch, she plays a vital administrative role. Though you may not see her often, you’ll often speak with her over the phone for expert support.
Steph
Steph joined Pinders in 2018 as a Diabetic Eye Screener and now works across all branches running our diabetic eye clinics. She has extensive knowledge of diabetic eye health and also supports our advanced AMD Treatment service as a Clinical Assistant..
Karen Herbert
Karen has been with Pinders since 2003 and qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 2012. Based at our Warsop branch, she combines her experience with a passion for ensuring clients receive eyewear that suits their lifestyle and needs.
Natalie Lovell
Natalie’s career in optics began in 2004, and she qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 2013. Joining Pinders in Southwell in 2024, she loves providing stylish eyewear that suits clients' lifestyle needs.
Becky Gibson
Becky joined Pinders in 2022 as a newly qualified Dispensing Optician with a passion for vibrant, distinctive eyewear. She enjoys helping clients who suffer with low vision to find solutions that combine style and function. Becky also provides Dry Eye treatments in our Eye Spa, offering a tailored approach to eyecare.
Joanne Symonds
Jo is our longest-serving employee, having joined Pinders at seventeen. With vast dispensing knowledge, she also examines for the Association of British Dispensing Opticians. You’ll find her at our Mansfield branch, where she continues to serve clients with expertise and care.
Billy Barnfather
Billy started as a Saturday assistant and was inspired to become an Optometrist. After graduating from Aston University in 2023, he returned to Pinders and qualified as an Optometrist in 2024, working between our Mansfield and Ollerton branches.
Husnain Rasool
Husnain joined Pinders in 2020 as a graduate and qualified as an Optometrist in 2022. He now works across our Mansfield, Southwell, and Ollerton branches, building strong relationships with clients and offering expert eyecare.
Mary Ryan
Mary joined our Southwell branch in 2022, bringing years of experience as an Optometrist. With a passion for continuous learning, she thrives on developing her skills and providing exceptional care to each client she sees.
Emma Flatters
Emma, has been with Pinders since 1999, building a loyal client base. Known for her excellent care, she divides her time between our Mansfield and Warsop branches, ensuring personalised, high-quality service to each client.
Pete Herniman
Pete joined Pinders in 2013 and became a director in 2017. He specialises in bespoke eyewear and is particularly passionate about supporting children and young people, helping them find the best optical solutions for their unique needs. You will find him in our Southwell branch.
Martine Lilleyman
Martine, a Dispensing Optician since 1993, joined Pinders in 2003 and became a director in 2017. Based in our Mansfield branch, she’s passionate about selecting stylish frames and lifestyle lenses, ensuring clients receive eyewear that enhances both appearance and comfort.
Hannah Shooter
Hannah joined Pinders in 2002 from Cardiff University and became Clinical Director in 2017. Passionate about dry eye management, she’s a trusted Optometrist, primarily based in our Mansfield branch, where she leads with expertise and dedication.
